We visited the Carter Center and joined their Board of Councillors Meeting which takes place once a quarter. We are so lucky that our WLC Conference coincided and got this once in a life time opportunity to hear first hand from President Carter himself and his experts in the area of peace keeping and health. We even got to introduce ourselves and shake his hand.
The Carter Center’s mission is: waging peace, fighting disease, and building hope.
Taking a tour around Carter Center, we learnt that President Carter’s childhood had a huge influence on why he was so inspired to want to make change for a better world.
